Having myself been on more than a few excursions as a photographer’s assistant, I’m very appreciative when there is someone else willing to fulfill this charge.

Dylan is quite capable in the role, having an extraordinary ability to lug gear despite his tiny stature. He does occasionally need help to maintain focus on the job at hand (sorry, no pun intended), but his attention can usually be restored with the simple promise of a few Timbits and an episode of SpongBob.

As taken directly from the about us page… “Then again, we’re really not dedicated to that much either”… I am here to once and for all dispel that statement.
The evening (Wednesday past) started with an email from geek #1, aka minion, wondering if I was going out to shoot the lunar eclipse, geek #3 (assuming I’m geek #2???) was going to go for it. My reaction was no, it was happening to late and it was cold out. How’s that for dedication, hey I was willing to wait until 2010!! I then decided I would take a picture of the moon at around 8:00 from my front porch. Here’s that picture…

I figured after that shot, I was good and I reached my moon quota for the year! A few hours rolled by and I decided it was time to go to bed for the night, first I had to stop at the little boys room… lo and behold, right out the bathroom window I could see the eclipse! It was happening a lot earlier than I though as well. It wasn’t too late for me to get some quality pictures. You would think I’d bundle up, head out to a better area and snap away. Na, I grabbed the tripod and camera set it up in the bathroom and took a few pictures right out the window, while I was in the nice warm house. Unparalled dedication to photography.. I got it!!

We headed down to the gut for some night pictures. Only managed to get a couple as the rain steadily increased in intensity!!
