So I’ve just been looking at the Fotogeeks visitor stats via Google Analytics. A few things pop out…
We’re getting more popular. A slow but steady increase is underway. I don’t think I’m going out on a limb here when I say that this can probably be attributed to the fact that we’ve actually posted some photos.
We’re also getting more visits from geeky types. I think it’s safe to assume that the most common visitor (or non-geek) would have a Browser / OS combination of IE / Windows. Not so here. They place forth. As StatPress suggests (see sidebar right) our most common visitors use Safari or Firefox. It’s an ongoing battle between the two.
What’s even more interesting is fifth and sixth place for Browser / OS combo though; Safari on the iPhone /or/ iPod Touch. When combined, they total about half of our visits from IE / Windows users. Pretty Geeky.
So, with that in mind, we’ve stuck an iPhone / iPod friendly version of the site online too. If you’re one of the few visitors using said technology, you’ll automagically see a streamlined version of the posts (complete with an option to switch to the full deal at the bottom of the screen).
