Clearly I can only be the Macro Lady. But I do have to admit to having fun with Photomatix from time to time :D

Harbour Grace Immaculate Conception Church HDR

Sunday March 8th, 2009 @ 7:35 pm by Angelika

We’ve been looking forward to the weekend since Monday and when Sunday finally came I found it really hard to get out of bed. I did. Eventually. Then the three of us headed towards Hant’s Harbour and ended up in the vicinity of Bay Robert’s and Harbour Grace in search of worthy photography objects. At every stop I’d pull out the tripod and get 3 exposures of each and every shot so that later I was able to put them all together. Yes, you could assume that I’ve been taken by the HDR thingy.

So here is MY Immaculate Conception Church:

Sunrise at Cape Spear

Saturday February 28th, 2009 @ 10:42 pm by Randy

randy-february-28-2009-c2The forecast for Saturday was looking pretty bad all week, so when things started to look up as per Enviroment Canada late on Friday, we hobbled together a plan for an early morning outing.

As it turns out, we actually arrived a little late for the sunrise at Cape Spear. No matter, as most of the first few minutes of the show were obstructed by cloud.

Upon turning to leave, we grabbed a few shots of the lighthouse. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my camera was smart enough to take multiple AEB shots automatically when using the two second timer. I was also pleasantly surprised that Angelika graciously let me use her tripod.

HDR

Tuesday March 11th, 2008 @ 12:45 pm by Mike

Yesterday I found out that HDR is awesome.
I also found out that much like Randys, my tripod sucks for HDR. But oh well I gave it a shot anyway.
I highly recomend getting a remote for your camara. I had one of Randy’s on me yesterday… but I couldn’t get it working.
So remember shakey tripod combined with no remote = almost good HDR! Haha.
Here is a taste of yesterday in St John’s.
