Where are the new pictures?

Tuesday July 21st, 2009 @ 2:21 pm by Andreau

It seems no one wants to post new pictures. I had thought a few of the other “geeks” had a road trip or two? In the meantime I think it is time to push the last post down a spot so here is the big guy, Angus, from Sunday past. ???? ????? ??????? ???? ???? ???????

Winter storm.

Sunday February 1st, 2009 @ 7:38 pm by Andreau

You just know it had to happen. Weeks of planning go in to each fotogeeks road trip. All the details get worked out in advanced. Vehicles needed, who’s driving, what Tim Horton’s to visit first, small talk during the drive…. we leave nothing to chance! Then, of course, a winter storm… and all that planning is thrown out the window and road trip day is spent shoveling… and cursing!! One guy in my house loves the weather!!

Well, at least he’s dressed for it!! My camera doesn’t much like being out there trying to get those pictures though.

Does your Newfoundland dog drool?

Tuesday April 1st, 2008 @ 9:46 am by Andreau

Nope, not mine. He is tight lipped, his flews are not big enough to hold copious amounts of drool, at least he doesn’t think so.

Here he is posing for the camera, completely oblivious to the thick, slimy “flooger” strung between his eyes.

That’s right, nothing to see here, no floogers to be found anywhere. After all Angus doesn’t drool.

Ok, he drools a little… when he is sleeping!! Most other times he can be found with perfectly symmetrical floogers hanging in wait for anyone to get within range so he can deposit them on your clothes!

Outside in the snow he can fling those suckers the length of the yard when he shakes his head. I’ve been hit by many flying slingers, but the worse are the half frozen ones, we’ll just call those floogcicles. I have no pictures of them as I fear for the camera lens getting in the way of the line of fire and shattering in my hands.

So in closing, if you see a Newfoundland Dog breeder advertising the “non-drooling” variety run very quickly the other way! Drool happens….. and finds its way into and onto everything, especially clean clothes!!

The next question I will address is “Do Newfoundland dogs shed?”. I will try to explain that natural phenomenon another time. :)
