The light was particularly nice when I was leaving work one day just over a week ago.
I popped onto the roof of a nearby building for a shot of the War Memorial and Duckworth Street (right), and got a final shot overlooking Water Street from the lower level of The Crow’s Nest.
We may as well go for broke on posting as often as possible. I cannot take ownership over this one as I did not take it, although wished I did. It belongs to a friend of me and my husbands. David lives in Alton, Illinois and enjoys visiting this site and shares pictures with us often. When I saw this I had to share it on a broader scale. Love the picture, keep it up David (KP).
To put us over the top in the monthly post count, and to emulate the idea in Bev’s last post, the first thought in my mind upon seeing this pictures was…
“Newman!”
I was out last weekend taking a few unexpected pics and got a chuckle when I saw the gulls on the Coast Guard warf. If you have watched Finding Nemo I can guarantee the first thought in your head was
“Mine, mine, mine, mine, mine,…”
I’ve been cleaning up the HD again, and perhaps because I’ve been listening to the national news over the last few days, this picture jumped out at me.
So I’ve been trying to see if we can top our monthly number of posts since the blog went online in December 2007. As you can see with a quick visit to the archives, that best month so far was March ‘08.
During such a dreary cold month in a dreary cold place, this is proving to be quite a challenge. I’ve been taking the camera with me as often as is possible during the last few days, and when I see that the light is nice I usually have just a few minutes – on the way from one place to another – to get a shot.
Come on guys… can we do it? Three more posts in three days?
