So, in my defense I should point out that, during our road trip on Sunday morning, Jeeves (as I was known) was primarily responsible for the driving. I know where my place is – it’s very sad. Kim just looks at me and shakes her head and smiles when she sees my shots – sorta like the look a mother would give to a child who worked hard at school, but still just managed a “C”.

The end result is, between the driving and snacking, I was able to take a grand total of 79 pictures. As I said in the previous post, most of the snapping took place early – during that freaky looking sunrise. Between that short bit and my total fascination with these largish snowflakes, that was 90% of what I shot.

I’ll get more when my new Sony arrives!

But you’ve proved my point with your own post… the early morning was very good, and after that it was a bust. Ah well, the driving is fun.
Here’s a few from a little later in the trip though…

So come on Randy, you must have something there man? Lets see em’.

Thanks once again to Kim and Randy.

Kim and I popped down to Little Harbour on the way out over the TCH a few days back. As can be seen in this first sequence of photos, I sometimes have a hard time getting a clear shot when we’re traveling together.

Little Harbour is a great spot for pics. Apparently, right up until about 40 years ago, there were less than two dozen houses in the community. I was talking to a resident who (on and off) has lived there his whole life, and he was pointing out which houses had actually since been built in the community, and which ones had been floated in from elsewhere.

He pointed out several “salt-box” style houses and large sheds that had been brought in from nearby communities during resettlement. He had been involved in several of those jobs himself.

I had a couple of hours of daylight to spare today so I wanted to give the new 8mm a outside test.
So.. like everyone else in St John’s who needed a quick photo trip… I went to Signal Hill.
Well.. at least it looked alot different through this lens!!
Also it turns out I took my 10,000th shot with my 350D.
Maybe its time for a cleaning….
